Finally just finished my latest watercolor painting, entitled Ombre Beautyberry (18″ x 24.5″). Based on a photo I took of an American Beautyberry bush while visiting friends near Assateague Island, Maryland. The shifting blend of the bright berry colors caught my eye immediately, as I had never before seen such a plant.
