The purpose of creating this artist blog and website is to have an online representation of my work, as well as to inform people where I’m showing and what I’m currently painting.

Although I do have a background in the arts, I am a self-taught watercolor artist. I have been painting watercolors since 2008. The majority of my paintings are based on photographs that I have taken in and around Saratoga and Warren County, in upstate New York, and the Adirondack Mountains. My love of kayaking, biking and hiking are a constant source of inspiration for me.

Nature is what motivates me. I try to evoke the beauty and peace I feel when I look at outside world. I’m fascinated with the abstract nature of the small details that come together to create a realistic representation of an object. In each painting, I try to capture what it is that attracted me to the object or scene, so I can bring it to the attention of others. Every watercolor painting I create is original and I do not make reproductions or copies.

I am a signature member of the North East Watercolor Society (NEWS), a member of North Country Arts, Saratoga Arts, and the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council (LARAC). I have been giving watercolor lessons and teaching painting classes regularly since 2012. I also enjoy doing painting commissions and see them as a real challenge to push myself to realize the vision of others.

Thank you for visiting my website and I hope you enjoy my artwork!
